 When I was Young

I thought

"We are All the Same"

I was told

I look like My Mum

so

We Must Be

But

Something Changed...

My First Day at School

I Cried

Even though

We All wore 

The same uniform

I felt 

more like

A Stain 

on 

My White Dress

I ran Home

at

Lunch Time..

The next Day

I stayed away from School

My Mum told me

"Be Proud"

"Keep your Head held High"

She Loved Me

My Daily walk

That School felt long...

I got to Know every Crack

The Pavement

I looked forward

Seeing the Lovely Tiny Yellow Flowers

Growing

All those spaces...

The Playground felt a Cruel Place

Be...

I didn't get The Jokes

We seemed to speak a different Language

I felt very Alone...
